                               WARNING!

Kiteboarding can be an extremely dangerous sport, especially on inland lakes like Lake Mendota, Lake Monona and Lake Koshkogong where there's tree lined shores and small launch areas. Lake Michigan can get wild when the winds pick up and the shore break is tough. Typically, you will be kiteboarding in various wind strengths and directions, which can lead to dangerous situations resulting in damage to your gear, yourself, or others unless you have had the proper training and instruction.

Lessons are essential for the beginner kiteboarder! Not only will you learn important safety aspects, but you'll progress faster by having a trained instructor giving proper feedback as needed.

Even with lessons, dangerous situations can arise, but we all try to reduce the risk and increase the thrill and the fun.

Our right to kiteboard at any public beach could easily be revoked if we do not kite responsibly!

Please read and understand the basic rules of kiteboarding safety here.
